  • When i spray paint I get this dripping paint effect! So my burst gets ruined... Any suggestions?

  • @MagicXXMadness Sounds like your putting it on to thick and too wet. Back up from drum, and do light coats/passes around the drum.

  • what did you use to spin the drum? becasue im going to paint my kit soon and i want to have a base like that, that will allow it to spin.

  • @KeithMoon94:

a hi hat stand, one square board, two 2X2 risers

  • @GuerrillaDrumMaking sweet! thats pretty gehto!

  • @KeithMoon94 ghetto might be one way to say it... I'd say resourceful is a better descriptor!

  • @roger201288 Don't it'll choke your cymbal and it can break easily and it won't sound the same

  • Is it ok to spray paint cymbals? I want to paint mine black or fluorescent but im scared it's gonna fuck up the sound =/

  • @liltaz94 I have done this with my drum set. If you have the plastic wrap that gives the drum it's color, you can just spray paint over it. I used Krylon paint.

  • @MasonBangsDrums a store.

  • The paint would be easier to spray if you made the drum rotate horizontally. No worries of dripping paint that way.

  • what kind of paint is good to spray paint a drum?

  • @liltaz94 unlikey you'll get crap adhesion and the paint will crack and peel after time

  • as a wood finisher i can honestly say using a spray can will give the wankest finish known to man full of tracks. dont do it yourself get a pro to do it

  • @MagicXXMadness you are spraying either too close or not rotating as quick so it gets more paint than it should. spray it from a bit further.... more paint will go to waste but it'll give you better results. and rotate a bit quicker.

it's kind of hard to explain but try to find the right distance.... like playing drums.... once you find that balance then you can do it. I hope this helped.

  • What kind of paint is that, and where can i buy it?
