Wow! You took the most beautiful road on the planet and all you caught were mug shots, the dashboard of your rental car, and clouds. Good job.

Ha Ha fucking locals throw rocks at your rental car block the roads with burned out cars but if your herte to smoke dope like Willy then I guess you just dont care !

We just got back from Maui. Road to Hana was a fun drive it took about 12 hours up and back but worth it. Black sand beach was cool kids loved it. 7 pools was a site to see, wish we had time to swim in them but it was getting late. maybe next time. The banana bread is the best.

Documentary is slowly in the works...hopefully in the next few months. A few other projects have bumped it back. It will probably be followed up by one about 187A (reminded me of Hana Highway) and Jerome,Arizona as well.
is this still going to be a full documentary?

@kmax1940 - yep, just wondering if interested in seeing more....i've been slowing going through tapes and tapes setting up edit. Hopefully have something in the months to come. Yeah, some odd similarities were happening one after another with Austin. Thanks for checking it out.

Too bad you couldnt have got a shot of Willie Nelson while in Paia...Charleys was good, imagine being there when he has a sudden jam session formed, lol. Did you taste some of that awesome madedamian banana bread sold a few miles west of Hana? Awesome stuff. So, where is this documentary going to end up, where would you like it to go.....curious...oh, look, another comment by me...I talk too much...bye

That would have been great to run into Willie there, especially since we're from the same town. Missed the banana bread, guess that can be my excuse for a return visit! Had some great smoothies at a little fruit stand about 10 miles in the trek. Unsure about the extent of the documentary, mainly for self, and to share info about the island, going to be more narrative than this edit, and will venture all over the island (lahaina, ka'anapali and more), not just "road to hana"
