Super Mario World - World 3: Vanilla Dome [1/4]

Mario has made it to Vanilla Dome, which is World 3 of Dinosaur Land.

There are two sections of this world. One part is inside Vanilla Dome, and is mostly made up of cave-type levels. The other part takes place outside, on top of Vanilla Dome. This video will mostly cover the latter.

@00:42 - With a Blue Koopa Troopa Shell in his mouth, Yoshi grows wings and can fly. This inspired his Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I would have mentioned this, but I recorded this playthrough over a week ago.

Not really. The Cape is more similar to the Raccoon power-up from Super Mario Bros. 3 in that you have to make a running start in order to fly, among other similarities.

In the Japanese version, and also Super Mario Advance 2 for the GBA, yes, Yoshi could eat the Dolphins.

I remember accidentally eating one in SMA2 and being totally surprised.
