PIC32 + SD card = MOD jukebox:) Old video, now it can play a lot of S3M up to 18 channels without buffer underrun. Samples and patterns are streamed from a FAT32 SDHC card on SPI bus (FatFs lib). The limiting factor is not the processing power but the memory size vs. SPI bandwidth and the filesystem seek time... This is a very interesting training to low-level programming in C. • Someone is a purple motion fan ;-) I really want to make one of these.

  • @debuglive Buy any PIC32 board (40$ @ sparkfun) wire a headphone on pins GND, D0 and D1, wire any SD card on SPI (few $ for the SD breakout) use the free version of MPLAB and rulez ! I can make a USB bootloader version (no pickit3 programmer needed)

  • jean Michel pascal jarre tu LOL in the music :)
