As a beginner shooter, Maureen was learning all the basics the right way the first time. With a teacher like All-American Todd Bender helping her get past common mistakes, she appears to be on her way to great things in the game of skeet shooting.
For others interested in a chance at equally great instruction, check out Mr. Bender's web site at www.bendershima.com and see when he might be at a skeet club near you. For more videos of the Todd Bender Skeet Clinic at Canton OH held in July of 2007, check out some of the other podcasts at www.ohioskeet.org
@panicmonkey9 Not true at all, most people that I shoot with and see shoot use O/U's ever a few side by sides. When it comes to duck hunting though I use a semi auto :)

Depends a lot on your body size, the ammo, the gunfit, and whether you're using a recoil pad. I'm a big lass, my gun doesn't fit me too well and I have the softest pad in the world, and I don't get any recoil at all from my 12g Miroku. I get -more- recoil from a 28g than a 12g, honestly.

Uuuh yes and no. Some say yes, some say no. I looked at one and I just didn't like it. To me it didn't feel right, and I just wasn't happy with the finishing of it. Go and have a look and a play with one (if you haven't already, since its 3 months old!) and see what you think.
I'm leaning towards no.
