  • Have you an addiction to popcorn? Lol. Nice video by the way x

  • @MsPrinceAlfie Yes, but its cheap, doesn't make me a social retard and isn't fattening so who gives a shit? lol

  • I think you've done a great job at breaking down the common (over)usage of the term, but I think the term -- across cultures -- has been diluted from a specific usage. That usage is derived from mysticism, or the perennial philosophy. I think that, in short, you're confounding the name of the thing for the thing.

  • @SalvadorBrumov You may be right, but maybe we will never know fully.

  • I think it does have meaning, but that meaning should only be viewed from the individual subjective perspective and not from a greater social perspective. It's okay for an individual to track their own progress and evaluate that they are more "enlightened" than they were...the word being used and evaluated as the individual has defined it. When you jump out of the personal, however, you are correct that the word has lost it's value as it is completely subjective.

  • @Dustwalker73 Well said!

  • I would say that *measuring* enlightenment is a pretty subjective thing, the crackpots out there can *claim* they have tons of it all day long.

  • To me.... "enlightenment" means having reached a place of peace, especially after being a typically tortured human. It's something that you can only measure for yourself & has nothing to do with religion or getting the stamp of approval from anyone else. It also, in my opinion, can happen in waves or steps or even in a kind of two steps forward one step back trajectory.

& thanks... now I'm craving popcorn!

  • @BespokeGroupUK Hehe I'm jealous.. I haven't got any. No fair! =D

  • Just subscribed to your videos- I really enjoy them. Thanks :)
