@intelligentpersian : he can say whatever he wants, it doesn't chnage the fact that mossadeg ol saltane was an aristocrat from qajar dynasty and he almost made Iran part of old soviet.

have you heard Reza Pahlavi II speech about Dr. Mossadegh that even he kissing Mossadegh's back calling him the most honorable Iranian? So, you please shut up and don't open your disgusting mouth to talk about that great man.

This was a really boring documentary and very misinforming.. I cannot even begin to explain how low class the makers of this documentary are. Jesus

This "documentary" should really be titled: " How to fool a nation and exploit it for 30 years". And this former ambassador is talking out of his arse. If the people "weren't ready to be modernized" as he claims, why were the maids, truck drivers, construction workers, or any lower middle class family in Iran sacrificing and sending their kids abroad? It wasn't the Iranian people who weren't ready to be modernized, but the very traditional british who turned ultimately to THEIR religous leaders.

MaChineseJihadis when & how did Mohamad Reza Shah show any admiration to Nazi Germany???? plz prove that statement of yours.
I've always felt very sad for such a tragic end of the Shah. Now, many of those who opposed him must be kicking themselves - the Americans, the British and most of all those in Iran who are now suffering under the theocracy. In a way, this is an I-told-you-so scenario for the Shah. May his soul rest in peace.

The Bilderberg Group decided in the late 1970s to remove the Shah from power once and for all, because London and Washington were tired of his excessively nationalistic ways. He refused British Petroleum their request for another 25 year exclusive contract, which sealed his fate. Odd that the BBC should be attempting to paint the history of the Shah, considering the abject treachery of the Brits in all things Iranian for centuries...
