This Classic Thames VHS is better than The Video Collection VHSs.
-
1986 - The Adventures of Sooty is followed by 1989 - The Magic Roundabout.

Soooootyyyyy! :DDDD

@steviegTVreturns Once again, thanks for explaining.
The cover and label on your copy are the same as on mine.
The Thames Video Collection version was a re-release. There was another version which had the Thames Video ident(not TVC) and The old Video Collection ident. This tape also had the Thames Television logo followed by a still of the Thames Video ident at the end. Similar to the end of the first Rainbow video which I uploaded once.

It was suggested to me the other day that some copies of this don't have the Thames Video ident at the end? Can anyone confirm if this is true because I've had two copies of this tape and both have had the full ident at the end.

@Meanmanmartin2007 With regards to our coversation on the other Sooty clip the other day, this is the release that doesn't have the ident at the end of it, literally the last frame of the tape has Matthew Corbett saying goodbye and then goes to black. If it's any help to you the cover to this VHS has a pre-1985 BBFC logo, with a simple U in a plain green triangle on it.

@steviegTVreturns Very interesting to hear that your copy doesn't have the ident. Both my copies have had the pre-1985 BBFC logo as you described and both have the Thames Video Collection logo on the cover and on the cassette label. Is it the same on your copy?
At some point, I'll upload the start/end of this tape.

@Meanmanmartin2007 Although we for some daft reason tore off the sticker on the tape, the labels had Thames Video Collection on them. The cover also has a huge The Video Collection logo on it, and judging by a Thames clip on TV Ark this VHS release was probably originally released by Thames Video, pre-TVC.
