The sidevalve ones made a dinstinctive sound, like the engine was being strangled! Great video, some great memories, naturally it would be rude not to put a YB cosworth in one though!

im from trinidad nd tobago nd we currntly hve a couple of prefect among other british vehicles including a 4wd farm tractor .i now live in toronto canada nd i bought a beautiful 100e from sweden which i switched engine to a gt1600 cant wait to finish for the road excellent video brings back a lot of memory nd smiles tks

Fantastic video .....Thanks so much for this! We just got an almost mint condition 1958 Prefect 100E. It is standard and will be kept totally original by my very experienced brilliant mechanic partner. We also own 2 1957 Zephyrs, one of which is a convertible. Please find my new Prefect video. We live in Essex, England.

Brilliant video!
My family had a four door Prefect in the 1960's.
It was nicknamed "Sweetie Pie" I remember as a child being driven by mother around in this little car.
Watching the video, particularly the interior shots of the Prefect, brought back many memories!
