I'm just learning this technique, but it seems very good for long distances.

  • Hey my name is Chad and I just started throwing knives today and I wanted to know If u have any tips for a beginner....also what are some good brands for throwing knives?

  • @Knifecollector008 Any heavy bladed knives work. As for tips for beginners, I have a video about knife throwing for beginners. The technique I show in it is a more conventional rotating technique. I hope that helps.

  • Hi i'm Manuel fom Italy and i have a doubt. Does this technique work on longer distances?

  • @ManuelCineblog Hi Manuel--Thank you for your question. From what I have seen, it works better long distance than the rotation technique. Try it with the same no-spin release and an underhand through. That really gets me some distance (one of the reasons for that is because I have a bad shoulder).

  • what style of knife is best for no spin throwing?

  • @jjd81726354 A knife with a heavy blade works the best.

  • @1RealityBroadcasting Good question. One of the principles of knives when it comes to self defense is to not throw away one's knife. In effect, one is giving the opponent a weapon (and convincing the opponent that you want to kill him/her, so he/she will be motivated to kill the knife thrower). Don't throw knives in combat, despite what video games and movies teach. An exception can be made if one is a very good knife thrower and has many knives to throw and fight with.

  • you'r the first person on youtube that i've seen that doesn't stick to the shitty overhand throw. you know about the other kinds of throws.

  • @secureserve The actual video has not loaded yet, but I will mention that US marines in the Pacific theater in WWII favored training in no spin knife throwing, and famously seeked out heavy bladed private issue knives to do it. The haevy blade was apparently a key part of their technique, which from my information (interviews with WWII marines) was an underhand technique suited to tangle jungle.

  • @chuk99 Thank you. I just bought three 15 cms knives and i'm waiting for the delivery. I'll keep following you to master overhand and underhand. Thanks again.

  • @chuk99 ok, thanks for the help
