LitChat: Terry Goodkind Sword of Truth series

Check out Terry Goodkind's "Sword of Truth" book series. The first book is "Wizard's First Rule".

The TV show loosely based on this series is called "Legend of the Seeker" but the story is pretty different. I'm not sure if I like it yet. Use Google to find out what channel it's on, etc. If you're in the States, you can watch the 1st season on hulu.com and I've even seen clips of it on Youtube.

The TV show Vampire Diaries is also based on a book series but right now I have no interest in reading it.

I'm not an a'hole but it's pronounced 'good kind' not 'good kend' . The way you pronounced it I immediately had a mental scratch thus my writing here . Also some people pronounce the heroines name 'kay linn' instead of 'kah lann'.I'm pretty sure my way is correct.Anyway the sword of truth series is THE best set of books I've ever read in my life Bar None.Oh and yes there's a lot of pages but towards the end your thinking "dam , there's hardly any left".And the legend of the seeker was sh*tty.

The vampire diary books are way better and shorter then the show. they are just using the basic plot and main characters but very much scewing from the books drastically.

Weißt du eigentlich wie ich mich gefreut hab, als ich gesehen habe, dass du ein Video über meine Lieblingsreihe gefilmt hast?

Ich liebe diese Reihe, ich habe grade das 7. Buch ausgelesen und es ist immer noch nicht langweilig geworden, terry goodkind ist wirklich ein klasse autor!

Ich muss anmerken: Ich liebe the Vampire Diaries, aber hauptsächlich wegen Damon!

Die story zwischen stefan und elena finde ich selber zu schmalzig und ich hasse es wie egoistisch elena manchmal ist.

a song of ice and fire, is a series of books i would recommend,

and im hoping you havent seen the show: game of thrones yet, cause that might ruin how you see the characters, although the story is actually accurate :)

@JarridPayne i will argee in the sense that some of the books in the middel of the series e.g 5, 7 and 8 are all very long and boring, but i think that the series is very good, you mentiion the 6th (faith of the fallen) to awful but in my opinion thats the best one.

@JarridPayne i read them, and I was pretty satisfied, of course there was time that I wanted to throw the books out, but in the end it was worth it, just dont judge a book by what you think of it, because it really depends on your mood when you read it and stuff :) whateva, now I started The Wheel Of Time and 250pages in it havent gotten as interesting as SOT ;). So what other would you suggest?

Heee :) I thought I'd let you know that I'm a big fan of the Vampire Diaries. But I do have to say that I understand you, I didn't think the first couple episodes where that great either. But now it's all so different and.. well, maybe you can give it another try, haha. :) xx

@spartan10010 well i for one just read the books because i find them to be a good read, im not really interested in politics, although the book does make some solid points about religion being pointless, and yes for anyone else who will most likely read this comment, im well aware that i may have just offended some religious people.
