Just got my new scooter today. If you haven't noticed yet, you'll soon realize that it's pretty huge. That's because this is a Adult Scooter (and not in the dirty way). Xootr (formerly Nova Scooter) makes perhaps the best quality, heavy-duty, but still lightweight scooters commercially and they're the only authorized vendor of their product (so you can only order these kick scooters from their website or their amazon ads). They make several models of different strength ranging from Max Rider loads of 250lbs-300lbs (compared to Razor that really only holds about a maximum of 175lbs even for their Pro line).
I'm a big guy, 6'6", 275, and I needed an efficient way of getting around my campus. I thought about getting a bike, but there was just too many curbs and stairs in my daily walking commute. Plus I didn't want to have to pay for additional bike fees such as locks, pumps and the stress that goes from the ample amounts of bike theft that occur here in Atlanta. I thought that a scooter would be a nerdily kickass way of getting around in the summer heat and I'm so glad to have found a model that could hold my sexy fat behind.
Dude, one of the best purchases I made. But you don't have to take my word for it. If your considering purchasing a scooter and you're at around 200lbs or more, check these kick scooters out at www.xootr.com or by visiting Amazon (which is currently only selling the Xootr Mg, Max weight 250lbs.). Read the reviews--learn something new!
wow expensive shit. hey do they have different size? for adult and kids?

@dandyboykb If your getting a scooter for kids, just opt for something like a razor or a goped. They're a much cheaper option and you won't need all the metal support/bells and whistles. If your under 150 lbs. and shorter than 6 feet, this comes as a definite recommendation. Sometimes I let my coworkers try the scooter out and the more petite people I know look as if they're completely dwarfed by this machine. The handle bars do collapse to about 2.5 feet. Hope this helps!

very helpful video. im a college student as well. im about to get the xootr too. being over a month into your scooter, does it still ride well?

I'd have to disagree @JKeels12,
Potato picking can be a pretty flagrant act of political protest. Look at all the great PP's of the past (PPP's as I prefer to place them, or just the PPPIPP for short). James Countenhamm also made a living as a painter of Swedish kilts too. So I don't really know where you're going with this... :/

hey how you doing. loved the video and was wondering what was the weight limit on that xootr model im hopefully getting one for my birth day and im not sur waht will hold my weight. im thinking either the ultra glide or the street model any suggestions and by the way im 305lbs.

Hey ilovclips,
The weight limit for the model that I have right now (the Ultra Cruz) is stated at 300lbs. But I wouldn't be surprised if I surpassed that by a couple of pounds with my back pack on. Any model other than the Xootr Mg will do you nicely as they all have the same sturdy frame, and only vary with the deck material that you'll stand on. I think you'll be fine at 305lbs if you stay away from tricks such as curb-hopping. :) Happy future birthday!
