Genius Acting, no doubt about it. The Moment where she says" Im old" is the most intense in my opinion, its aboslutly real! They should have given her an oscar for this role.
throughout this scene, you can hear a loud breathing sound once in a while... that was the director of photography crying. not a lot of actresses are able to do that.
I thought Julia Roberts did okay in Erin Brockovich--not overly great, a little exaggerated, but passable. This was far better, obviously because Ellen Burnstyn knows how to capture emotion and display it in a touching and lasting way that many actors can't. So yeah, Ellen should've won the Oscar.
This is the first movie to make me cry really really hard. I saw it in the theater and my boyfriend had to sit and wait until I was done sobbing before we could get up at the end. I was SOBBING.
Brilliant film. Brilliant performances. Ellen should have won hands down.
This film was very hard to watch. Brilliant performance on Ellen`s part-she so deserved the Oscar but lost to Julia Roberts(who did not deserve a nomination let alone the award-Erin Brockovitch is one of the worst films I`ve ever seen)

I was also scared away from any type of drug for quite a while.
