http://www.donegalcottageholidays.com Glenties is a village in South West County Donegal. It is situated where two glens meet, northwest of the Bluestack Mountains, near the meeting place of two rivers, the Owenea and Stranaglough. Glenties enjoys a good tourist trade and boasts a long established hotel - The Highlands - and a variety of lively pubs and the locally famous 'Lime Light' night club. A statue to the 'Navvy Poet', Patrick MacGill, who was born in Glenties, is located on the bridge over the river in the center of town. An annual summer school is held in his honour.
Glenties has won the Irish Tidy Towns Competition competition on no less than five occassions
