  • If the music is totally different, it is a different song. People confuse these two songs, "Match Box Blues" and "Matchbox". It is important to clarify this point. Carl Perkins heard a verse from his father from which he created a totally new and different song in 1956. The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ronnie Hawkins, and others have recorded the Carl Perkins classic rock song released in 1957 on Sun. But most people do not know that the two songs are totally different.
