As we know, governments spend our money. In many places, they are also elected by and answerable to their people. For us to know how well they are doing, or have done their job, we need access to government records, and most advanced places have Freedom of Information acts to allow public and journalistic access to government papers. Hong Kong does not.
Wait so the HK government's position on something as important as freedom of information is a code is enough no need to legislate but something as trivial as people turning off their cars when they are stopped legislation is required... What a rubbish collection of people we have running the HK government.
