  • I have owned my aveo for about 4 months and it is exactly what it is. it's a first timers or commuter car. I am in the military and I love driving this car every morning to work. I am 6'2 and I fit very well inside with room to spare. As for the traction, road noise, and stopping distance, that was easily fixed by getting new tires. The tires that this car came with were complete crap.

  • never heard of this thing

  • @neostardust ..... and at that speed it was full of passengers, trunk fully loaded and A/C is turned-ON so what can I ask for more at this price segment?. I handle it smoothly during my daily commuting, no harsh or drag racing, no pushing the engine to the limits, having it serviced on schedule and it is serving me well so I am happy aith it. BUT, some guys are used to drive larger engines demand more power from such a small engine and thus pushing it to the limits causing troubles

  • With respect, I know you didn't "say" race but your words imply it like "0-60 in 12 secs". Where I live; in Amman-Jordan; is full of ups & downs, hills, stop & go among all kinds of road conditions. I find driving my Aveo (1.4L automatic) is no issue and it can handle them decently. It can cope with the traffic on highway easily. I drove it for more than 300km/hr highway at a speed of ~120km/hr without pushing the pedal all the way .....

  • @MamoonKhader Perhaps you could point out where, in the comment I made 7 months ago, I suggested racing? I mentioned the test results. I'll be more clear. 12 seconds 0-60 is terrible because every other car in the segment does better, and because that rate of acceleration would be insufficient for highway merging (at least where I live). A TINY, light car like the Aveo with a stopping distance of 144 feet is abysmal. It's dangerously long for emergency stop. Consider what's between you and death

  • @neostardust Why don't you buy a $150'000 Porche instead if you want to race instead of a small $12'000 Aveo. It is strange how you people think. I own a 2009 Aveo for the 3rd year now and it is a nice car & fun to drive in city... ofcourse I don't try to race with it cause it is not meant to be. period.

  • I love how he points out the spoiler... that car has no spoiler...

  • I wonder why if this car was so great it was discontinued this year and replaced with the Sonic

  • stop yelling at me!
