Jamestown was the 1st permanent settlement in the new world. This video consists of four parts. The 1st is the recreated Jamestown settlement for people to come and see. Buildings styled of the 17th century take you back in time. Then replica ships the settlers came on. Recreated Native American Shelters and finally, the ruins and the original site of jamestown and what is left of it a couple miles from the recreated Jamestown. Virginia, USA .
The native americans were the Powhatan and there is a statue to Pocahontas in the original jamestown settlement area.

Actually, the brick chapel isn't from the original Jamestown, but was erected in 1904, for Jamestown's tricentennial. After your visit, they discovered the remnants of the actual fort beneath ground level, slightly extending out from the shoreline. Archaeologists were busy unearthing it when we visited in 2009, and artifacts were on display in a specially-built structure further west along the shore. It's worth a new visit!
