  • epic guy <3

  • But it's NAT type 3, I just got my Vita and I can't play online because of NAT type 3. How do I change this so it's NAT type 1 or 2?

    I have a Thomson router.

  • Good shit man, thanks for this.

  • awesome text ringtone!

  • Thank you for the vid, very informative and helped me change the Strict NAT on MW3 after I got this new Gig/second router.

  • @xDaReArDoNz you can either place the static IP of your PS3 in the DMZ on your router, or you can create a port forwarding rule (a specific set of ports) in your router, to be used applied to the static IP you created for your PS3. You can fine the ports online, do a keyword search "PS3 Ports"

choose a higher number for the 4th section (called an "octet") of the static IP address.

The number should be outside the router's DHCP addressing range, but less than .254

to be on the safe side I recommend using a number between .200 and .250 for the 4th octet of the static IP address, for example:

    192.168.1.236

for a D-Link router with a gatway address of 10.0.0.1,

a good static IP address would be 10.0.0.236

  • @shaanlone786 if you are going to use static IP for your PS3, you want to choose an IP address that is *outside the range* of your router's DHCP addressing range...

Generally. for the 4th octet in the static IP address, that would be a higher number, say from .200 to .250 (stay away from the numbers beyond .250, trust me, don't push it).

Example: If your router/gateway's IP address is 192.168.1.1,

a good Static IP address might be: 192.168.1.205

    i.e. 192.168.1.[ # outside-range ]

  • thanks man this was great :D

  • my ps3 ip ends in .114 so should i change it??
