On October 18th, 2010, best-selling author and retired librarian Vicki Myron stopped in at Warwick's to talk about her latest book in the blockbuster Dewey series, Dewey's Nine Lives.
Think of Dewey as a really productive, helpful, cat version of Marley, though during his 19 years of life he did tend to eat a lot of rubber bands. Of Dewey, the book, Publisher's Weekly wrote: "The book is not only a tribute to a cat. . . it's a love letter to libraries."
At the event we kicked the whole cat theme up another notch by inviting our friends from the San Diego chapter of SNAP(Spay Neuter Action Project). They are the same kind animal lovers who team up with Warwick's for our Indie Hounds adoption program and they brought an armful of kittens with them. Though no one was adopted that night, we did get some adorable footage for the Warwick's Kitty Kam!
I was at this book signing. It was a lot of fun. Thanks for posting this. "Dewey's Nine Lives" is an excellent read.
