This fly is a winter killer on our Central PA streams. The trout we catch seem to be chock full of these delicious insects.

  • could I use the peacock hurl strands as a substituted for the peacock hurl dubbing?

  • Yes you can use peacock hurl for the fly. I like to use the dubbing because I think its easier to dub the fly.

  • i dont think it makes much difference but do you think these would be just as effective in southeastern pa where i am.

  • where are you guys located? cause in your 3 variations of midges you said the pequest and i live in new jersey and very familiar with the pequest.
