I do not understand the comments and criticism. BP knowingly, with intention, lied when they initially reported the spill was not a big deal - within their control. Those who are at fault are those who shouted, "Drill Baby Drill". Palin, MCcain & in republicans in general assured us there was no risk, Utube the phrase. BP was only doing what it was allowed per deregulation. Those who suggested drilling might be a little harmful were labeled as silly and unamerica.

@fagslav Well, I think the clip from the Howard Stern Show (with people who supported Obama without even knowing what his policies are) was a good indication of how stupid many Americans are, and I have seen other examples of such stupidity in this country. But not all of us Americans are like that.

@kennykensworth ken, dont freak out. the US Govs. do already have the power to do this..but it is done rarely. And for that I am grateful. I think you would agree this is not a normal sized problem..and if NOTHING is done, how will the clean-up occur? Would YOU like to pay for it in taxes? No..me,neither..so seize BP assets NOW (before they hide them) and use that to clean THEIR spill up. If you have a BETTER idea..put it here.
