Lyrics Memories from The musical Cats
---
Midnight. Not a sound from the pavement.
Has the moon lost her memory?
She is smiling alone.
In the lamplight
the withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan.

Memory. All alone in the moonlight
I can smile at the old days,
I was beautiful then.
I remember the time I knew what happiness was,
Let the memory live again.

Every street lamp seems to beat a fatalistic warning.
Someone mutters and a street lamp gutters
and soon it will be morning.

Daylight. I must wait for the sunrise,
I must think of a new life
And I mustn't give in.
When the dawn comes tonight will be a memory too
And a new day will begin.

Burnt out ends of smokey days,
the stale cold smell of morning.
The street lamp dies,
another night is over, another day is dawning.

Touch me. It's so easy to leave me
All alone with my memory
Of my days in the sun.
If you touch me you'll understand what happiness is.
Look, a new day has begun.

  • I prefer Mirusia to Suzan Erens. I think the voice of Mirusia is purer than Suzans voice...

  • I love her voice! She's so pretty too!!!!

  • @surreal99 She needs to work on getting down to those low notes too. Jackie Evancho can reach them and she's a soprano as well.

  • What was the problem with that audience?? I saw very few people standing up. My goodness she deserved for every one to be on their feet. What an incredible performer onstage! Boo to those Aussies who sat on their butts after Mirusia sang her heart out for them. SHAME

  • Her voice is incredible, but I also LOVE that dress!

  • @Bucksportable didn't notice it until your comment - quite right. Surprised someone hasn't fixed up that issue with her

  • @czarssalad like you?

  • wow, wow super

  • andre rieu is a joke, his orchestra deserves a better conductor

  • I truly do not know what to say. Not only has Mirusia kindled a new appreciation of classical music she is making me tell the world how amazing she is as a performer. Just great, I am buying all her music now. Bravo, bravo from a proud Australian. I just hope that I can catch a live performance before I pass away.

  • @jcadlols i agree. also, i like it full voice.
