I'd forgotten how good this song was. A real shame they didn't get much commercial success. As for Big John Duncan - I used to buy my punk singles from him when he worked in Listen on Glasgow's Renfield Street!

They were a great band and like so many of their time, completely underrated. Saw them live twice and still have some G.B.MM vynyl somewhere. It bugs me though that Shirley Manson has rarely acknowleged the apprenticeship she served with this band; though that may well not be a true representation ( i.e the media)

the bit at the end of the song, 'you're never there when the phone rings' should maybe have been the chorus. I was aboot falling sleep there till that catchy wee bit burst into life.

bollox. I was always wondering what the tart prancing about actually did...but then I had a similar feeling when it came to the superfluous member in Deacon Blue too. The other lassie got a raw deal here.
