  • green fields and golden sands are nothing compared to this full song. I wish and pray that life was like this song. thanks for posting!

  • @Mashureilly1 . If not this life, then perhaps the Next Life..?

  • It's beautiful. He wrote this song when he was in his late teens. Just been sitting there all these years to be recorded. I put this song up a year or so ago, but WMG had their big fallout with youtube and pulled all music and videos that are owned by them or their subsidaries. I hope they don't pull this one. Very nice.

  • @katydidscorner Thanks for the positive feedback! I was hoping someone would comment! :-) Let's hope the video stays up for some time...

  • Lovely! Yusuf's voice is perfect in this. We may have felt that Cat leaving music in the '70's was a tragedy, but that's only from our perspective as fans. He says it allowed him to live life instead of just singing about it. He found a religion that answered his questions and has a wonderful family, so what was "our" tragedy was his redemption.

  • Steven Dimitri.I love you since 1971.Thankd for being in this world..

  • @Twibbieful Good thing you mentioned that. Actually he spoke about it in an interview ,bcause he wrote the song in the 60's and never published it , then few years after he heard "I am not the only one ..." from lenon's "imagine" song and he thought that somehow spirits comunicate and lenon wrote Imagine talking about same thing almost

Amazing, they are both good song writters, wishing Yusuf a long life

  • That is a very nice song. Maybe he still does have it after all...., but think how much great music we lost through him quitting in his prime. It's nearly as tracig as Jimmy Hendrix, Jim Morrison and countless others dying young. In some it's more tragic, because he just upped and forsook his real gift.

  • Was and still is a great
