No Sound. Steam bending redwood siding prior to the installation on a curved turret on an old Victorian in Berkeley California. Information on the steam box and other details can be found here: http://picasaweb.google.com/101825047967856931050/SteamBendingPics?feat=direc...

  • Nice. don't you risk having the bend slightly off if you don't measure the vertical position of each end of the board when you clamp it?

  • Do you mean that if the board is not clamped to the jig parallel to the jig bottom or "level", that we could end up with a twist in the stock after we pull it off?

  • @3rdPartyCheck yes, exactly.

  • I could see that, but we just clamped it to the jig "more or less" parallel (eye-balled it) without any measuring. Twist wasn't a problem for us so I assume you only need to be reasonably level or parallel to the jig. Thanks for the good question.

  • @3rdPartyCheck ok, yeah I assumed it was close enough not to be a problem. I suspect any twist would be straightened out when you secured the boards to the house, which is fixed. nice video, cheers.

  • nice hat buddy... good job with the bending

  • yeah thats cool

  • Can I bend the wood in to a M at onces with more thickness?
