Since I really don't know (yet) how safe Zinc Oxide is, I'd like to offer you some info that I just discovered: Red Raspberry Oil not only contains high amounts of Omega 3 and 6 AND natural Vitamin E plus other anti-oxidants, but it's also SPF 28+... Also, essential oil of Carrot contains a natural SPF of 30+ when added...
I can't post the link here, but this info (plus more natural oils that provide SPF protection) can be found at Ehow by running a search for "Natural Oils That Contain SPF".

This will save the fishes from reproductive defects due to chemical sunscreen runoffs. If only everyone knew about this. SPREAD THE WORD EVERYONE!!!

It would be great if you could list the ingredients and utensils in the info section, so that we could prepare before hand

I love your videos! Is there anything to add that could help make it water proof? Like bees wax?

I to heard that zinc oxide is toxic. To be on the safe side I'd rather check out the natural oils on ehow. I need something a little more stronger than 15 SPF and I don'
t want to use something that's considered to be listed as toxic on or in my body.

I just made your sunscreen and loved it! Your tips and methods are fantastic and you already serve as a role-model for me and thousands like myself! I do have one question, is there a way to make this cream non-greasy and increase it's SPF (by adding more ZnO perhaps?), so I can apply it on my face?

@saleha1980
I will experiment in making it less greasy for the face. I think you could try making one of the facial creams and adding the zinc oxide. Yes you can add a little more zinc oxide to increase SPF. Also remember that the plant oils in this sunscreen also are natural sunscreens too.

since I live in a very sunny place I need around 50 spf. is that possible?
harshagal 11 months ago
@harshagal There is no such thing as SPF 50. The highest you can really get is SPF 30. Anything over that isn't really telling you the truth and is largely marketing. Better to go for a 30 and reapply often.
