A particularly painful day. How my legs and arms look can be inconsequential or obvious, it all depends. CRPS / RSD is a shifty devil. Believe it or not, I showered before bed last night and each foot was scrubbed clean. How they appear is not a function of hygiene but of poor blood circulation and skin/bone changes. My right leg is leaking lymphatic fluid at the site where our kitten sank his claws -- that explains the feminine pad strapped there! My left leg is the most bothersome of all, as it is rapidly getting worse. My hands are not terribly worse, except for the thumb and middle finger nails, which I hope, at this point, will fall off. I don't know what to do with or about them -- and beyond advising lots of biotin, neither do my doctors. Created on May 11, 2011 using FlipShare. Brief appearances by Dobby the Cat, who finds my toes fascinating, and by a miniaturized Rothko that often serves as the focus point for meditation. The music, Marvin Gaye's "Let's Get It On," is mildly tongue in cheek... (I adore Marvin...). It is imperative to keep laughing. Feel free to drop by my blog and share how YOUR appendages are faring! http://prof-de-rien.blogspot.com

  • @rugburn5 do you have crps? you are so right about the need for education (to suggest "re"-education is a sign of optimism!). it is one of the few diseases where the patients have must take the lead on treatments and the latest research, and that sure becomes tiresome. my legs are driving me nuts now that jerks and tics take them over for a good part of the day... and, of course, no one knows how to treat them! anyway, i hope that your legs/feet remain good corporate citizens! best of luck.

  • I pray my legs or feet never go this way. No one should have to suffer like this ...we are beginning to notice this is a disease that causes health issues, Dr. need to be re-educated ASAP

  • @kepleygal I'm sorry to hear that you are suffering so much. I hope your good days become better and more frequent. If you're like me, life with CRPS is a continual shock.

    Hang in there!

  • i have this also....it's ruining my life more and more daily....i feel for you!
