I-10
2001: 70 night: 65
2002: 75 night: 65 truck 70 night: 65
2006: 80 night: 65 truck 70 night: 65

I-10 has intersections. These are not frontage roads, but actual intersections. You can see the usual "intersection ahead" sign when approaching them on the Interstate. Sometimes they cross the frontage road and the Interstate both. It is actually the section of I-10 that has the high speed limit (80 mph) that has these intersections. They are all dirt roads that only a few ranchers use, and the few times I was traveling down that I-10, I never saw a car turn at these points.

I heard someone telling me that cars and trucks can now legally drive 80 in upstate New York on the Buffalo to Albany section of the New York State Thruway (other interstates still at 65 max speed limit in that state, though!)

I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise that people can drive 80, I see a few leadfoots driving that fast occasionally when traffic is low on the Maine Turnpike. And what the "night" limit is on the video(65) applies 24/7 meaning daytime as well here in Maine.

you can now legally drive 80 mph in both Texas and Utah. I-10 and I-20 in west Texas of course and now two (approximate) 18 mile stretches of I-15 in Utah, (Kanosh-Fillmore) (Scipio-Mills)
In Texas, they not only let you do 80, but those roads aren't even freeways. They have at grade intersections at random points, even though they are interstates. And yet you can legally drive 80 through those intersections!

@jasonc0065 Yes there are many multi-lane highways in Texas that have directly intersecting roads....however all of the interstates I have traveled on in Texas are limited-access. There are theoretically some interstates with at-grade interesections but I have not seen them. Usually there are access roads parallelling the interestate or highway on either side for local traffic to access and these roads have occasional entrance/exit points to the highway.

The b&b was real nice accept for the p-tac unit is noisy and tacky would think they would have central air and electric heat p-tacs are more for the motels. And its a Kenmore. LOL. Looks like a nice highway how is it funded I think if it is not at the 55 speed limit it can't be federally funded?

This highway is interstate 10...I think at one time there was a 55-mph federally mandated speed limit but I think that ware repealed sometime in the 1990's. Recently Texas laws allowed for the 80MPH limit in very wide-open areas like this.
I guess I don't mind the sound of the AC unit...we even take an extra fan with us when traveling as we need the sound and air circuilation of a fan to sleep.

That room at the Carrington House looks like it was decorated for my grandmother. She would be 116 years old if she was still alive.

We always like to stay at the small, independently run old fashioned inns when traveling, they are so much better than chain motels and usually about the same price.
