Oregon State employees protest cuts in the budget of approximately $2 Billion to Human Services, Education, and Public Safety, that, among other things, will affect some of Oregon's poorest residents -- those with disabilities that depend on in-home-care, and low income working families that depend on childcare to keep working. The "United for Oregon" march and rally started at the Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade, and crossed the Hawthorne Bridge before coming to the Terry Shrunk Plaza where the rally was held on 6/7/09.
