april 4, 1865 appomatox, va lee gave an Unconditional Surrender to UNCONDITONAL SURRENDER GRANT. im from birmingam al the Heart of Dixie and damned proud of it. born and raised. the Lee was great in his own right, but not right in choosing his state over his country. west point educated with Grant, whom finished last in their class, should have had the forthought to know the north had the money. we all know money wins wars... im out holl GOD BLESS THE USA
