Wallpaper Instructions Easy-Walls products are easy to hang and easy to remove when redecorating. Now for patterns that are difficult to match strip to strip, they are easier to align! MATCH POINT guides are printed on then simply wipe the ink guides off with a wet sponge. The product must be applied to a clean, properly prepared, primed and painted wall in order to achieve the best hanging performance and, eventually, complete removal when redecoration. Hanging this product over a wallcovering primer is also acceptable. The prepaste on this product has been specially formulated for optimum performance during the hanging and eventual removal of the product. The use of prepaste activator or light weight strippable paste, while not required or recommended, generally does not alter product performance. Prior to hanging, inspect all rolls to ensure consistent pattern, color and run #.
How To Hang 1. Mark a line with a level or plumb line from the far corner of the room at a distance 1" less than the width of the paper. 2.Cut product into strips as required to cover the surface being papered. Determine the pattern repeat and cut the strips 4" longer than the wall height. 3. Re-roll each strip from bottom to top, pattern side IN. Roll loosely so that the water can circulate and wet the entire prepasted surface of the strip when immersed. 4. Fill water trough 2/3 full of clean room temperature water. 5. Working with one strip at a time, immerse the strip in the water trough ensuring the entire prepasred surface is wet. DO NOT IMMERSE STRIP FOR MORE THAN 5-10 SECONDS. 6. Remove the strip from the water (unrolling it as you pull) and fold (paste side to paste side) as necessary for hanging purposes. IT IS NOT NECESSARY OR RECOMMENDED TO ALLOW THE STRIP TO "BOOK" FOR ANY LONGER TIME THAN IS NECESSARY TO TRANSPORT THE STRIP DIRECTLY TO THE WALL FOR HANGING. 7. At the wall, unfold the top portion of the strip and align the edge with the plumb line (allowing 1" of the strip to fit around corner) or the edge of the previously hung strip (making sure to match the pattern repeat). Unfold the rest of the strip and align. 8. Use wallpaper smoother or sponge to ensure proper adhesion of the strip, working from top to bottom. Do not overwork the sheet. Some small air bubbles are normal and will disappear during drying. 9.Trim excess paper from top and bottom. 10.Clean excess paste from surface, before it dries, with a sponge and clean water. 11. Lightly roll the seams and wipe seams once more with sponge. 12.Hang succeeding strips by repeating steps 5 through 11.
How To Clean The surface of the product may be cleaned using a soft sponge with mild soap in warm water.
How To Remove When hung as recommended, this product may easily be removed from the wall for redecorating without the use of special tools or chemicals. To remove each strip, simply lift the top corners of the strip and pull down from both sides until you have the first 4" to 5" of the top of the strip off of the wall. Next grab the strip firmly in both hands and pull straight down to remove the entire sheet. Once the sheet is completely removed, use a soft sponge and clean warm water to remove any paste from the wall. When hanging on freshly painted wall, allow at least 21 days for the paint to cure before removing the wallcoverings. Warrantee New product will be supplied if product proves defective.
