What a curious little loco.

Really good video Martyn. I may be heading down to see the re-launch of Dr Syn. Are you heading down?
-
Absolutely superb video - the world's premier miniature railway
-
However, some of the FR locos are going back to coal-firing, as the price of oil seems to be increasing.
Anyway, back on topic, great vid. 5*

True as the Ffestiniog Railway have oil fired locos 'cause of fire risks that cause the locos to have sparks causing fire to the bushes
-
What a gem of a film on a very emotional occaision. Thanks for posting this

Yeah, I should have clarified that it was a reference to any other steam engine, and not necessarily to the RH&DR locos. Sorry about that Daniel5343.
-
i was talking about the RH&DR Steamers, Winston Churchill was oil fired for a short period.
-
Some of them are oil-fired too.
-
Yes, all the steamers are coal fired.
-
Is it really a coal powered steam engine?

Fantastic video, loved the shot at half mile curve.
is the RHDR just a volunteer railway, or do people get paid there to run trains. seeing as it's a public railway

It's a bit of both. There is a full time staff backed up by volunteers from the RH&DR Association.
