@Nitram2984 All you really need car wise is a battery triangle (blue triangle indicating where the battery is), and it be safe, not leaking oil etc. For you, you need a helmet, long clothes and a CAMS L2S license or better.
CAMS license ~$100/yr
Club membership (reqd. for CAMS license) $50/yr
Events are normally $70
Bit of money to get started (and each year), but IMHO good value, considering the other closest alternatives for some motorsport goodness.

Very nice, mate! I live in Canberra and have a BA mk2 XR8. Are there any special modifications you need to do this at Fairbairn like a racing harness or roll cage etc or will they let a normal street car go for it? How much is it?
