Hello all! Here is another "Public Service" piece featuring the Marshall Plexi-ProAnalog MKII-Fender Strat.
Pay attention the microphone position on the speaker cab. After spending hours moving each mic...I think I've got a good technique to capture the "Fuzz Vibe".
Volume was aprox. 100 db.

Backing track is from Althrax...the king of backing tracks.
He calls this track "Big Pimpin". I agree.

  • Hi! Do you have different effects going into the 3 different input jacks?

  • Nah...just jumping the channels.

  • Is this the OC81D version? The playing sounds exellent by the way.

  • Hey now...sorry for the late reply. I'm an idiot.

I believe this is an OC81D version.

  • Love it! Gotta love that 'Plexi Tone'.

Have you checked out the Bugera Plexi clone that's out? Haven't had a chance to mess with it, but I've heard good things. Ridiculously cheap.

By the way, I still think the Elmwood Modena is my fav of all the various amps you've demoed. Squeaky clean to bluesy growl to raging high gain and everything in between.

  • lol bienvenue au club !

  • Dias? I thougth it was Skunk!

Jeez...too many guitar players to keep track of. :)

  • Yeah, Denny Dias on "Bodhisattva" thats a great tune. I like when a guitar starts to sound like a sax with fuzz on it, it gives it so much character.

  • Thanks a Lot!!!

Thats EXACTLY what I'm goin for.

I was actually thinking Elliott Randall's "Reelin in the Years" solos, but the tao of "Bodhisattva" is there too!

    Thanks for the listen-AB

  • Cool, sounds "Skunky" if you know what I mean ;) I really like them old Steely Dan fuzz solo's.
