Our young men and women in the US military are waking up to the fact that... to quote General Smedley Butler's 1933 speech..."War Is A Racket!".....

"War is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.

A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small "inside" group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes.

In the World War [I] a mere handful garnered the profits of the conflict. At least 21,000 new millionaires and billionaires were made in the United States during the World War. That many admitted their huge blood gains in their income tax returns. How many other war millionaires falsified their tax returns no one knows.

How many of these war millionaires shouldered a rifle? How many of them dug a trench? How many of them knew what it meant to go hungry in a rat-infested dug-out? How many of them spent sleepless, frightened nights, ducking shells and shrapnel and machine gun bullets? How many of them were wounded or killed in battle?

Out of war nations acquire additional territory, if they are victorious. They just take it. This newly acquired territory promptly is exploited by the few the selfsame few who wrung dollars out of blood in the war. The general public shoulders the bill. And what is this bill?

This bill renders a horrible accounting. Newly placed gravestones. Mangled bodies. Shattered minds. Broken hearts and homes. Economic instability. Depression and all its attendant miseries. Back-breaking taxation for generations and generations.

For a great many years, as a soldier, I had a suspicion that war was a racket; not until I retired to civil life did I fully realize it. Now that I see the international war clouds gathering, as they are today, I must face it and speak out."

  • @LICK5d ... Spit out the Obama Kool-Aid. Presidents are puppets, put into office by the real rulers .. never elected to anything...who start these wars and make the weapons used in them.

And by the way, which war do you fantisize he'll end? One of the two (Iraq and Afghanistan) he inherited when he took office, or Libya, the one started during his term?

He'll do as he's told or he'll be "Kennedyed".

  • If there is no soldiers in the world, there will be no war.

  • When a United States Marine Corps Major General, awarded two Medals of Honor, warns America of the Military Industrial Complex, and his warnings are not heeded, something is fundamentally wrong.

  • THIS SPEACH IS THE REAL TRUTH ! ! !

  • @TheTestimonials ...The comment that "TheTestimonials" wrote was "I spit on the USA and their ancestors."

The coward then removed the comment.

  • This is exactly why we don't need to start beef with Iran. We just got our people back and USA is seriously trying to pressure Iran into battle. I hope Iran stays strong and just ignores USA's bullying :/. Please no more bloodshed

  • this guy is my hero!!!!

  • I thought long and hard about signing up, but many of my teachers had negative things to say about this war, and I had to have more good reasons other than free college tuition. It's over a year after high school now, I'm working a dead end job to save up for school, and I'm still wondering about joining. Can anyone convince me why I should join besides free tuition and getting my sorry ass whipped into shape?

  • THIS VIDEO IS AMAZING. Nobody speaks louder than one who's conscience calls to change his entire outlook after living blind. Bravo soldier. Semper Fi to the new war, the war for souls of your fellow souldiers
