  • Can you just remove the cables and leave all the crap in there or do you have to remove all the equipment

  • remove the cables and you gotta cut a wire, and I removed the servo motor out of the right side tail section. The butterfly valve is still in the header just FULL OPEN. if your going to do it @ least remove the big shit

  • is that a k7 or k6?

i have a k8 and i know the ecu wiring is different than the k7 and k6..

did you lose your low end torque?

  • Its a K6 and I did not lose any low end.. some noticeable power gain if you dyno the bike. More than anything it took off very few pounds and made the bike louder.. Thats about it

  • where is the set valve on the k4 model thxs

  • The throttle is much more responsive without the set valve.

  • this guy is an idiot too.

  • how much was it is and where to get it n u think it is louder than a jardine gp1

  • You are correct. Watch my GSXR SET Valve Removal Video and I show you exactly how it works. It's about 1/4 on idle.

  • PS: Unfair video too, the SET does not stay closed at idle nor when you pull on the gas like you portray it on the video when you manually close it all the way to show the sound difference. In fact its 1/3 open at idle and then progressively opens all the way at 6k RPM under acceleration.

  • Placebo effect. You didnt gain any HP The valve is FULL OPEN after 6k RPM. Same as when u removed the cables, same exhaust flow. You lost low end torque, but louder sound at idle-3k RPM gave you the illusion that you did not lose torque....you did! Only way you could gain HP is if removed SET because of an FI light or without adjusting it as per your manual's specs at 600 miles and 7500 thereafter. In that case it was robbing you of HP and hence when you removed it it felt like breathing better
