Psalm: A Prayer for the World: By Dr. Rafey Habib
Lord of the silver Dawn,
Lord of the deep sky and dark cloud,
Save us from our selves;
From the deep whispering,
The dark murmurs that
Breed and feed
Deep within.
Save us from the fear which would
Tear our world, the greed
To conquer, the need to
Pretend.
Raise your true servants
To their true station,
Beyond race or nation,
Beyond squabbling
Of religion, raise them
To serve.
Strengthen them from within,
Let truth inspire them,
Let love bring them ever higher,
Let wisdom lead them as they lead,
Let them bring your world together.
Lord of the silver Dawn:
Hear these words, weak and mortal;
Far though we are from your
Eternity, the portals of your Paradise:
Let us glimpse them
On the horizons of time,
Lord of the silver Dawn.
