Blanche do the right thing for the people who voted you into office. You owe it to them.

She is toast, republicans will campaign strongly against her no matter what she does. She could join the birther movement, get a show on foxnews, even join the teabaggers and still won't get any love from conservatives. The only possible chance she's got is to vote the way the Democrats base want her to vote and lose the election with some dignity. By the way I am a supporter of a trigger option, only because it may turn out to be more effective than the watered-down versions currently offered.
