DEATH OF A SALESMAN (Biff)

I felt the emotion from Willy and Biff were very good but not so from Linda and Happy. Also the blocking is bad, I see their butts half the time (a general blocking no-no), people reach with their upstage arm, weakening their figure, and Happy's face is in the dark due to poor lighting placement. That is what I observed. Hope I wasn't too critical.

@lukemccurry I found the complete opposite to be true. The actor playing Willy yelled the entire time and stayed at the same emotional level throughout. But Biff - WOW! When he thumped that table and said "we never told the truth for ten minutes in this house!" there was such an urgency in him, such a need to be heard! And when he tells his family what he wants to be, wants to know who he really is - beautiful. I think the the actor playing Biff has huge potential, and I wish him the best!

Ok ppl, step off of these two... these 'kids' got into the best acting/theater schools in the country, so if any of you have graduated from Julliard or SUNY, you need to step off. Thank you, and good night!!

I'd like to see George Costanza play Biff

I completely agree. If they needed to trim it down due to time restraints, so be it, good place to do so. The blocking was great, and so was the acting. Very effective, nice work.
As usual, yelling every line and "acting angry" and being loud for the sake of being loud is what too many young actors do with Willie. However, at least the young fellow playing Biff is doing some good things.

This was the first practice run. By the fifth practice run it was toned down alot. Biff was played by my son Jimmy and a year later he went to Florida and achieved a level one rating from The National Foundation for the Advancement in the Arts. After that he became a Presidential Scholar in the Arts and went to Washington D.C. and performed at the Kennedy Center. He is performing now in a play called "7 Redneck Cheerleaders" in Los Angeles.
