How the fuck would putting more air in front of the compressor housing inlet for it to suck in slow down spool? The air is being reused. Subaru designed the whole system to account for recirculated air from the bpv to come back into the system.

  • You should only run a BOV that vents to atmosphere if you have something to tune your ECU for the change otherwise you run rich as fuck. The cars are designed to have the charge air from the bypass valve directed back into the intake and when you take that away that messes with your AFR. So if you do this tune your ECU to compensate for it or you will fuck up your motor. Just research it and you will see what I am talking about.

  • @pch86 no way?

  • te niebieskie rurki to pewnie od gazu tzn ze napewno ten samochod zostanie sprowadzony do polski nie koniecznie w jednej czesci. dziekuje i zycze milych zakupow

  • @GoRossiGo Over time running slightly rich is actually a big deal.

  • @getalife04 it will only run slightly rich during shifts. And it is no big deal

  • @DYDXjnovshoe This isn't limited to just the WRX but almost any turbo car. Like my Evo, if I vent to air my diverter valve without tuning the ECU, I shoot flames out the back, which can fuck up the turbo. So be aware of that. It may look cool and all but you're fucking the turbo up little by little. Pretty soon, too much shaft play and the blades will hit the housing and break the blades. Guess where the blades will go? Right into the intake and in your cylinders.

  • @DYDXjnovshoe ABSOLUTELY!!! Any time you change something on these cars you should adjust your tune. That's why I always do my stuff all at once. Buy stuff here and there then put it all on and tune. And don't let anyone tell you that the Cobb Accessport is all you need because it has basic off the shelf tunes that don't help everyone. If you have everything that's on their spec list sure but they aren't all that useful to be honest. I would just stick with a pro open source tuner.

  • @getalife04 ahhhh i see what you mean much appreciated, thank you also if i get a front mount should i get it tunned then?

  • @DYDXjnovshoe It isn't something that is going to instantly fuck your motor up but over time it will slowly lean out the motor. So over time it will mess things up if you don't tune the motor for it. Subaru's are both amazing and troublesome if you don't mod them properly. If you do it stupid and just crank the boost and throw boltons on them they will make you pay for it. I would find a good tuner and stick with them and what they say to do. They are great cars!

  • @getalife04 ok, i just got a WRX i new into the wrx world so im completly clueless about alot of this stuff so far, im just curious to as of how it will mess the motor up? i tried googling it but couldnt find too much :/ because i was concidering blocking the return hose and leaving the BPV open as well because i like the noise. thanks hope this isnt a stupid question lol

  • bpv, not bov.. To bad the newer wrx ones are made of plastic and not metal like these. Regardless, I'll still will be replacing mine with the turbosmart compact oem replacement.
