I have had this happen, it's a baby, just turfed out of the nest. The beak open and the noise it was making is the same thing they do when they are begging their parents for food, lol. He thinnks yer his uncle!

@Raptorel Yep. Smelled like a raven. Earthy, perhaps a faint whiff of straw/grass, certainly not unpleasant. Fun question!
