oh ok thanks for the heads up. no i haven heard of any of them tbh. but im always on the lookout for new music, and so appreciate it and will defo look into them. and yes, Narrow Stairs was a good album. My fave dcfc album would still probably be either "Transatlanticism" or "Plans" though.

@webcreeper2002 I'm not hating on Codes & Keys, but I loved Narrow Stairs way more, lol. They toned it down so much this time, whereas the pacing on NS was a bit more upbeat and awesome. Other favorite album contenders for this year would be Mutemath's "Odd Soul", Astronautalis' "This Is Our Science", or maybe Grouplove's "Never Trust A Happy Song". If you haven't heard of those groups, definitely look into 'em.

lol no worries, we are all here listening to the same music. and yeah its a good album. they have an interesyting style and i think these guys could get very far, if not for the mainstream commercialized bullshit that people are generally listening to. but i think my top album for this year, based on diversity and range is probably 'codes and keys' by death cab for cutie. i just thought it would be a disappointment, and the album proved me wrong, which was sick. but this is great too!

yeah true. but no, oth music is legit, they promote a lot of indie musicians and bands and stuff and spread the word out, and some fans like me check into the band with a little more care. i checked out the whole album immediately. i posted this song cos the others were already on youtube, but this wasnt. and anyway, even if the show was full of people who only know one song, at least they paid and are financially supporting the band, so its a win-win lol ;-p

There are just some garbage shows that occasionally throw an awesome indie song out there, and next thing you know, that band's concerts are full of a ton of people who only know one song, and even then, only know the chorus or something.
