  • If you are inclined to vote for Ron Paul, please vote for him no matter what you hear about Romney needing votes or Ron Paul's electability. Ron Paul needs more votes, even if he is not the nominee as it will bring increased exposure of American people to his ideology and correct and responsible economic policies. Republicans actually want Obama to win anyway because they are preparing the best Republican candidates for election in 2016. They want Jeb Bush to run in 2020 against new democrat.

  • @airt21 IMHO it will take a generation or more to fix the problem with...education. Education was a HIGH priority of the Founders especially Franklin and it was the number one reason why America was so prosperous post WWII. All those GIs came home and most participated in the government funded program known as the GI bill to go to school. They became professors, executives, entrepreneurs and investors and made America great. Most other countries do this with good success. We should too

  • @exenrontexas yes, and i was going to the mention the slavery part too.

  • @airt21 The Preamble to the Constitution is pretty clear about this, but you are right about the amendment process. We have declare drinking alcohol illegal and then legal again. The Constitution supported slavery and then outlawed it. It also formally established term limits for the office of President to stop another FDR but the first president it affected was Eisenhower who otherwise would have got a third term. Government MUST do the will of the PEOPLE or fall.

  • @exenrontexas people have the right to establish these programs, but only through the amendment process...since the power is not clearly established in the constitution.

  • @germany10 I think your definition of a hypocrite is faulty. And here is how. Rand denied her responsibility as a citizen. Or at least she had a twisted view of it. She felt that by it's very nature government did not have a right to do certain things. She was wrong. The Constitution establishes government BY, FOR and OF the PEOPLE and majority rule with some exceptions. Those exceptions are few and NOT what Rand believed. SO she WRONGFULLY believed that government was wrong.

  • @pirucreek -He's referring to the market correction. This has nothing to do with a balanced budget. Plus, it is only a balanced budget because social security is considered "off budget"

  • @exenrontexas -One can rant against these things and take them and not be a hypocrite for it. The fact the government deducts money from one's pay check to contribute towards both programs means, when the time comes, to not take it would be foolish, wasteful and economically unsound. She can still be consistent in her argument that these programs are unsustainable and not constitutional.

  • Go to Google Finance and look at the NASDAQ on this date.

    He totally calls the bubble!
