@Tigerlily21 I can't agree with you.People take wrong choices,but that doesn't make them bad people.Edie had to go through a lot of pain in her life,if you've ever read her biography, including two of her siblings dying,herself being forced to take unnessecary medication (against her will),being forced into psychiatrc clinics,her dad abusing her, more than one tries to commit suicide and all of that.She just wanted the pain to go away.And she was not just beautiful from the outside.

@Tigerlily21 a whole damn lot of people did drugs and were rich back in 60s but do you realise they weren't all legends? moreover, "more intelligent and stylish" is a great difference right here, edie was special, even comparisons to her contemporaries are irrelevant, not to mention modern "celebrities".

People are only glorifying her because she's beautiful and died young. I mean the comments on this page are evidence of that. If Lindsay Lohan died in the near future, all the people who dissed her would be raving about her. Let's face it, Sedgwick was basically the Paris Hilton of the 60s only more intelligent and stylish. Chloe Sevigny was right when she said she was just a rich socialite who did a lot of drugs and didn't really accomplish anything.
