My local forecast with a severe weather warning. The warning does not make the warning beeping sound like you think it would.

  • how do you animate the words on the warning? i cant firgure it out.

  • I did not animate anything, this is what is shown on my local on the 8's. I did not make this or anything, i don't even have the program since it's not for download right now. But as of today 12/19/08, the 4000 is being used as i watch it right now...

  • Could you also possibly post a video of your 4000 after storm stories? I've never seen a 1 minute flavor on a 4000 before.

  • No Problem, i will have it up in a day or two. Unless that cut storm stories because of Dean.

  • Just so you know, Storm Stories is back starting today.

  • Thanks, since dean is now gone, i can get this video and i will have it up by tomarrow.

  • If they do not upgrade them soon, I would expect it within the next few years.

  • So do you still have that WeatherStar 4000?

I'm sure we'd all love some more videos, it doesn't have to be severe weather, it could be just a regular day's videos. Hardly any places have 4000's anymore and even fewer have people who recieve one who knows the importance of the 4000 so could you make some more videos? Even a sunny day video, as I can't recall seeing any "regular" weather videos ever.

    Thanks,

  • The same here

  • That looks pretty new until the forecast comes up

  • State College, PA.

  • At least not yet.

  • No, XL's do not degrade.

  • Some do but its not that bad.

  • do XLs degrade?

  • I still have the 4000 just like shaneomac1986 and it doesn't even have any signs of degration yet. so I guess you guys are right about the XL.

  • Gee...I wonder if there are cities in the US that still have the Jr...that would be an amazing find!

  • I miss my 4000!

  • if u get upgraded, expect the intellistar

  • The song is called "wherever you are" by bryan huges I think.

  • Yeah. Id rather have a intellistar or 4000 or jr. I just cant stand the XL that much anymore.

  • YOU HAVE THE XL!?

    I have the intellistar :(

  • I miss my 4000 so much i didnt even get a chance to record it. Sigh im sick of the weatherstar XL

  • In regards to that, I did actually report it to STAR Team that my Junior wasn't toning many moons ago, and they gave me a comment back and nothing more. So, in reality, chances are they don't really give a you-know-what about it. In truth, I think as long as it's actually reporting the warnings, STAR Team doesn't hassle too much about it.

  • Don't report it! Yours and Shane's STARs might get upgraded!

  • Great video Shane. Anyways, I have a weird correlation for you (which I think may tell a story). Anyways, our school (Penn State University) uses a WeatherSTAR Junior still, and when it issues warnings, it doesn't beep either.

I'm probably going to mention it to STAR Team because it seems odd that two WXSTAR's don't tone when they should.

BTW if you visit my page, I have posted some Junior videos on there.

  • He already posted it

  • And can you post a Abrams and Bettes forecast after that 1 minute storm stories?
