  • @soumanjan2000 Funny, but I found the exact same organ on craigslist in Seattle for $250. I bought it for $200. Supposedly it was in a storage locker for twenty + years when I bought it. It sounds absolutely haunting.

  • could any one give me info regarding this organ.....i am dying to get hold of the same......i had this but was totally damaged while being transported...So pls..if any one can provide me someinfo...

  • @Edu2503 Please excuse my getting pedantic here, but Ms. Wodehouse's website states that she has "two Yamaha reed organs from the 1950's". 1887 is the year the "Yamaha Organ Manufacturing Company" was formed (according to information from the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, which has a model from 1909).

  • I could totally see you opening for Portishead.

  • the sound of this is actually amazing for a portable organ, that it is the first Yamaha instrument is even more interesting

  • I have to analyse this piece for class but I have nothing to say about it...

  • @cecilteapot It is a Yamaha Reed Organ from 1887 (WOW). It was the first musical instrument designed and built by Yamaha brand.

  • what model is this organ? I have one and I'm trying to restore it. I'd kinda like to know more.

  • sounds less like an accordian than other portable size pump organs I've heard (and I love that sound) but I'm still interested- since these yamahas are way newer and in better condition. I wonder how much they might be going for. hmmm... :i
