small thought: with 150,000 soldiers in Iraq and 100,00 security personel we could BARELY contain the violence in Iraq. Now that its relatively calm there everyone is saying they weren't necessary because we already have an army and don't need to out source. What do people think the situation would have been like in say 06' without 100,000 extra personel???

Since when does the USA need to hire independent contractors to have mercenaries when they have a massive army of willing rednecks? When the government wants to commit war crimes and not be held accountable, that's since when. I have to say, the Bush Administration really has destroyed American popularity around the world.
