This November, you'll get a hard-hitting football movie featuring no less than Sandra Bullock, Kathy Bates and Tim McGraw. It's called The Blind Side, and it might be the Rudy of the new millenium.

When a high school student, operating under the perfect storm of being poor, wildly undereducated and badly out of shape, gets recruited by a major football program that grooms him into the exact opposite, his life will change forever. But will it change it for the better? Check out the trailer.

November is the perfect time of year for this kind of movie to hit because it so clearly wants to go for an Oscar run. But at the same time, it should prove accessible to anyone who watches it. Dust off your thesauruses--you'll need synonyms for "heart-warming" because EVERYONE'S going to call it that. But do you want your heart warmed? Or does this one leave you cold? Hit the comments section and tell us what you think. Thanks for watching!

True True. But im not being negative just ot shoot down a movie. Coming from my background ( as in going from nothing to something; but thats a whole other story) When see movies like this it strikes a nerve that this is what black men are represented as. If YOU dont feel that way. God Bless You. But there are others that look at your race as THIS. BTW Good Information...

This movie is based on Michael Oher's, a REAL PERSON, life. What happened in this movie is what happened in his REAL life. If his REAL life is a "stereotype", then that's how they'll make the movie, because it REALLY HAPPENED TO HIM. For example, I have a friend who's Chinese and is naturally gifted in math. Is she or anyone else being racist because she's good in that subject? No, because that's just how she is. This movie is how Mike went from homelessness to prosperity. Don't be negative.

To UPT1995 - because sadly so much of it IS true. Look at powercrossdotorg for others reaching out to help disadvantaed kids. When the black community stops buyng into the slavery of the Democratic party, then you will see some real change. (BTW, it was southern Democrats that wanted to keep slavery alive during the Civil War. Sound familiar today? )

It is a stereotype movie because. #1 why is that a African American man has to be illiterate? #2Why does the only thing he's good in is a Sport? #3 Why is it that this young man is casted as poor & misguided? #4 Why is it that it takes a caucasian family to do what an african american family couldn't do?. This is not personal... it just the fact that this move shows the stereotype of African American men.

how is it a stereotype, please explain... it's what happened to him... so how is that stereotyping when it's exactly what happened to him. shame on you.
