@blite13 Loool! Neither Benitez or Duran are my favourite fighters & I actually prefer Duran over Benitez. My personal favourites are JC Chavez & RJ Jr. Duran is in my top 10, way above Benitez. Benitez was a waste of talent & so I'll always hold that against him. I can't get "emotional" over Benitez because I'm not a fan. I never was. It is because you're an "emotional" Duran fan why your theory is SPECULATION. I'm looking at this fight as a neutral. That's why you could never figure it out.

@blite13 Lol! My point is that Benitez wasn't at his best either. Duran is an all time great. I'll agree with that but Benitez, a man who never really trained, was too smart for him. And I don't say that lightly because Duran is one of the smartest fighters of all time. But Benitez could read him like a book. They didn't call him 'El Radar' for nothing. Benitez is one of the biggest waste of talent in boxing history. Leonard did say while he trained for 9 weeks, Benitez trained for 9 days!

@jamdowner Duran wasn't at his best vs Wilfred, Duran at his peak wins vs Benitez. Duran is an all time great, ALL TIME, pound for pound...Duran at his peak always wins, it's just the way it is.

@blite13 Are you kidding me? Duran to me is the greatest Latino fighter of all time. I think he'd have beaten Chavez but he was made for Benitez. Styles make fights and Benitez had the style. I've read that in the late 70s he was already diagnosed with brain damage. By the time Benitez lost to Hamsho at age 25, he was a shot fighter with a degenerative brain disease. In a sense Benitez never really peaked.

@curtisjones400 I don't know why people are hating. Duran is one of my favourite fighters of all time but Benitez owned him. If only Benitez trained...he might have been better than the so-called 'four kings'.
